Last Race: Sunday May 15th: Kansas Speedway, Kansas City Kansas: Kurt Busch stole the lead from reigning champion Kyle Larson with 9 laps to go, the 34th of Kurt Busch’s long Cup career, and his first with 23-Eleven Racing, owned by Denny Hamlin and NBA Basketball legend Michael Jordan. The victory was just the 2nd for the second-year team. Busch‘s younger brother Kyle arrived 3rd, followed by Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. Busch led 5 times for a race-high 116 laps. 6 of the top-10 finishers were Toyotas.

NTT IndyCar Series:
Last Race: Sunday May 14th: The Road Course at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway: Very chaotic with off-and-on rain, roll-the-dice tire strategies and lots of yellows! Colton Herta wins his first of the season, 7th of his career and first this season for Honda-power. Originally scheduled for 85 laps, delayed by numerous incidents and the arrival of rain near the midway point, the race reached its 2-hour time limit during a caution period. Simon Pagenaud finished 2nd, Will Power 3rd.
The Canadians: Not a great day. Toronto rookie Devlin DeFrancesco broke a toe link after contact with Reenus Veekay: 21st. Stouffville’s Dalton Kellett spun off in turn 6 on lap 36: wound up 27th-tail!
IndyCar points into the Indianapolis 500: Will Power leads Alex Palou by 14.
Next Race: Sunday May 29th: The 106th Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Speedway Indiana. ( They qualify May 21st and 22nd. )

Formula One World Driving Championship: Idle!
Next Race: Sunday May 22nd: The Spanish Grand Prix Barcelona
Last Race: Sunday May 8th: Grand Prix of Miami Florida USA, Inaugural event: around the stadium where the NFL Dolphins play! Narrow place and an abrasive track and damn hot weather played havoc with the tires. Biggest drama: Lap 9 of 57 when Red Bull’s Max Vestappen stepped around Charles LeClerc for the lead. Max rode that to the end for his 3rd win of the season. He also picked up the fastest lap of the race for the bonus point. LeClerc hung in for 2nd, Carlos Sainz in the other Ferrari completed the podium! Canadians: Lance Stroll stumbled his way to 12th. Nick Latifi still at the back: 15th.
F-1 points into Spain on the 22nd: LeClerc leads Verstappen by 19 in Drivers, Ferrari’s lead over Red Bull in Constructors is down to 6 points.

Canadian Rally Championship presented by Subaru: Idle!

Last Race: 2022 Season opener: April 1st and 2nd: The Rallye Perce Neige, Maniwaki Quebec: The 56th edition: Jérome Mailloux and Philippe Poirier drove their Test Racing Subaru to victory by just over 6 minutes over Olivier Martel and Vincent Hubert in their Subaru WRX STi. Reigning champions, André and René Leblanc got caught in the ruts on the last stage and stuffed it into a snowbank: 5th in the final order.

World Rally Championship: Idle!
Next Rally: May 22nd: Rally Portugal.
Last Rally: April 24th: Rally Croatia, Zagreb: Toyota’s Kalle Rovanpera pulled off a final stage come-back to snatch the win away from Hyundai’s Ott Tanak by 4.3 seconds.
