Formula One World Driving Championship:
Next Grand Prix: SATURDAY Night November 18th: The Grand Prix of Las Vegas, USA. Inaugural Event. This will be a late 10 PM Pacific start, meaning the GP starts 1 AM Sunday November 19th Eastern time. Why so late? Gives a more practical time for the larger European TV audience (approx. 6:30 PM).
Temperatures for Vegas will be very cool to cold. 60 degrees F. Tires work best at 80 F. Grip will be the main task.
Last GP: Sunday November 5th: The Brazilian Grand Prix, Sao Paulo: Red Bull’s Max Verstappen had to survive red flag chaos and a restart before he once again bolted away to run and hide for season win 17, re-setting the record again. This marked win number 52 for his career, one shy of Sebastian Vettel for 3rd all time. A nice bounce back for Aston Martin as Canada’s Lance Stroll grabbed 5th after qualifying 3rd, his best result since the summer break!
F-1 Points: into the second-last GP of the season on the 18th with the highly anticipated dash up The Strip in Las Vegas! The fight for 2nd place under champions Max Verstappen and Red Bull: Sergio Perez’s lead over Lewis Hamilton for runner-up in the Driver’s Championship is back up to 32. Mercedes’ advantage over Ferrari in the Constructors is now 20 points.
