NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series: 

Last Race: Sunday October 1^st: Race #2 in the Round of 12 at Talladega Alabama: Off the re-start with 14 to go, in a thriller photo finish with Kevin Harvick, Ryan Blaney wins to head to the round of 8.  William Byron finished 3^rd.

On the Bubble: Kyle Busch, Bubba Wallace, Ross Chastain and Tyler Reddick head into the final race in the Round of 12 at Charlotte facing elimination.

Next Race: Sunday October 8^th: Charlotte NC on the Roval. Last year’s winner: Christopher Bell. _____________________________________________________________________________

Formula One World Driving Championship:   

Next GP: Sunday October 8^th: Grand Prix of Qatar, Losail. Preempted last year for World Cup soccer.

Last GP: Sunday Sept. 24^th: Japanese Grand Prix, Suzuka: Max Verstappen & Red Bull back in dominating form after aero-struggles in Singapore. From the pole, Max Verstappen cruised to another easy one to clinch the Constructors' championship. Max once again heads-hands-and-feet faster than the rest on a faster track, finishing almost 20 seconds ahead of 2^nd place man Lando Norris. Oscar Piastri 3^rd in the other McLaren to complete the podium. Charles LeClerc 4^th for Ferrari, Merc’s Lewis Hamilton 5^th.

Canada’s Lance Stroll: withdrawn in Singapore after his crash, a DNF in Japan with rear wing issues. No points again. 

F-1 Points:  Max Verstappen with 13 wins on the season leads team mate Sergio Perez by 177 in the Drivers Championship. Checo picked up 4 penalty points at Suzuka with a sloppy outing. Max can clinch the Drivers' title as early as the sprint race in Qatar. Red Bull has secured the Constructors Championship for the second season in a row!

NTT IndyCar Series: Season Closed!

Alex Palou wins his 2^nd series championship (2021), the 15th IndyCar title for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Final IndyCar Points: Alex Palou 78 better than team mate Scott Dixon. Canada’s Devlin DeFrancesco: ranked 22^nd.

Next Race: Sunday March 10, 2024: St. Petersburg FLA.

Next Rally: Oct 14^th : Pacific Forest Rally, Merritt BC.

Last Rally: September 10^th: Rallye Defi Petit Nation, Montpellier Quebec: Jean-Sebastien Besner & Yvan Joyal 1^st over-all and 4 wheel drive open using their Ford Fiesta: 1:57-27. Marc-Andre Brisbois & Marie-France Desmarais runner up: 2:02-13 in their Subaru Impreza.

World Rally Championship:

Last Rally: October 1^st: The Rally Chile: M-Sport’s Ott Tanak with a master class in speed and tire management to score his second win of the season. The 2019 world champion won 7 of the 16 tricky gravel stages to complete the rally with a 42.1-second margin over Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville. Kalle Rovenpara struggled with tires to finish well back. His championship lead over Elfyn Evans has been chopped to 31 points.
