Formula One World Driving Championship:
Last GP: Sunday Sept. 24th: Japanese Grand Prix, Suzuka: Max Verstappen & Red Bull back in dominating form after aero-struggles in Singapore. From the pole, Max Verstappen cruised to another easy one to clinch the Constructors' championship. Max once again heads-hands-and-feet faster than the rest on a faster track, finishing almost 20 seconds ahead of 2nd place man Lando Norris. Oscar Piastri 3rd in the other McLaren to complete the podium. Charles LeClerc 4th for Ferrari, Merc’s Lewis Hamilton 5th.
Canada’s Lance Stroll: withdrawn in Singapore after his crash, a DNF in Japan with rear wing issues. No points again.
F-1 Points into Qatar October 8th, 6 GP’s remaining: Max Verstappen with 13 wins on the season leads team mate Sergio Perez by 177 in drivers. Checo picking up 4 penalty points at Suzuka with a sloppy outing. Max can clinch drivers as early as the sprint race in Qatar. Red Bull winning Constructors for the second season in a row!
Next GP: Sunday October 8th: Grand Prix of Qatar, Losail. Preempted last year for World Cup soccer.

NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series:
Last Race: Sunday September 24th: Race # 1 in the Round of 12: The Texas Motor Speedway: William Byron came on strong in the second half of the race to record his first win in the Playoff, 6th of the season to automatically advance to the round of 8. Ross Chastain finished 2nd, Darrell “Bubba” Wallace 3rd. Byron got the jump on Wallace on the final re-start to nail it! Next race in the Cup Round of 12: October 1st at Talladega Alabama.
Next Race: Sunday October 1st: Race # 2 in the Round of 12 at Talladega Alabama. Last year’s winner: Chase Elliott.
Active in the Round of 12: Truex, Reddick, Wallace, Hamlin, Byron, Larson, Buescher, Busch, Bell, Chastain, Keselowski and Blaney.
NASCAR Canada: Treyton Lapcevich sealed his first career championship winning the season finale at Delaware Speedway London Ontario.

Alex Palou wins his 2nd series championship. ( 2021 ). 15th IndyCar title for Chip Ganassi Racing.
Final IndyCar Points: Alex Palou 78 better than team mate Scott Dixon. Canada’s Devlin DeFrancesco: ranked 22nd.
