Canada up to sixth in FIFA women's rankings after winning Olympic gold

The Canadian women's national team has moved up two places to sixth in the FIFA world rankings after winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics.

The U.S., who won bronze in Tokyo, remain in first while silver medallist Sweden stays in second. Germany, the Netherlands and France make up the rest of the top five.

Canada won its first-ever Olympic gold medal after defeating Sweden 3-2 in a penalty shootout on Aug. 6.
