Bristol City has signed Canadian midfielder Sarah Stratigakis, the team announced Saturday.
The 24-year-old joins the Women's Super League from Swedish club Vittsjö GIK. Subject to international clearance, she'll be with the Robins until the end of the 2024-25 season.
“I’m extremely excited to be here and I’m grateful for the opportunity,” Stratigakis said, according to the team website. “I can’t wait to get going.”
“Ashton Gate is an amazing stadium and I’m looking forward to getting out in front of the Bristol City fans.”
In Sweden, Stratigakis scored eight goals in 52 appearances and demonstrated her ability to hold possession and generate attack.
For the Canadian senior women's national team, Stratigakis has one goal in five appearances.
