Chelsea shut out Real Madrid 2-0 in the second leg of its Champions League semifinal on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge, clinching a 3-1 victory on aggregate to reach its first final since 2012.
Timo Werner and Mason Mount struck for Chelsea on either side of halftime to clinch the victory.
That sets up an all-English Champions League final between Chelsea and Manchester City on May 29 in Istanbul. The last time two Premier League clubs met was when Liverpool defeated Tottenham in 2019.

This will be Chelsea’s third appearance in the final as it attempts to win its first title since 2012. Manchester City, meanwhile, will contest their first Champions League final in club history after defeating Paris Saint-Germain 4-1 on aggregate in their semifinal on Tuesday.
Chelsea won the most recent contests between the two teams back on April 17, a 1-0 win in the FA Cup semifinals. It was Thomas Tuchel’s first victory over a Pep Guardiola-coached team in six all-time meetings.
