Cristiano Ronaldo will be ruled out of Juventus's Champions League game against Barcelona on Wednesday due to COVID-19, according to Sky's Fabrizio Romano.

Ronaldo, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Oct. 13, has not yet received a negative test and cannot play as a result.

It would have been Ronaldo's first meeting against Lionel Messi since the latter left Real Madrid for Juventus in the summer of 2018.

Juventus and Barcelona won their respective opening matches in Group G of the Champions League last week.
