Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has finally found the next step to his promising career.
Haaland is set for a $100 million transfer to Premier League powerhouse Manchester City according to reports from The Mirror's David McConnell.
McConnell further reported that Haaland was about to put pen to paper on one of the most lucrative deals with his new club. The striker would be one of the highest earners for the Citizens with a £300,000 ($478,000) per week wage.
The Norwegian international spent the past three seasons with Dortmund and scored 85 goals in 88 matches in all competitions. Under Bayern Munich's dominance in league play, Haaland managed to win the German Cup in 2020-21 and was named striker of the year on two occasions (2020-21, 2021-22).
Born in Leeds, England, Erling's father, Alf-Inge Haaland, suited up for Manchester City from 2000 to 2003. The 21-year-old has history supporting City. A photo resurfaced dating back from the 2014 EFL Cup final where Haaland witnessed City defeat Sunderland 3-1 at Wembley Stadium.
