Ahead of her final two matches in a Canadian kit, Christine Sinclair received a message from a special fan.
In a sitdown interview with CBC's Andi Petrillo, Sinclair was shown a video from Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds thanking her for her legendary career.
"I just want to wish you all the best, all the love and all the luck in retirement," Reynolds started.
The co-owner of Welsh soccer team Wrexham then went on to congratulate Sinclair on the next step in her career.
"Well, it's not really retirement, moving on in your career to Wrexham," Reynolds said. "It's huge for the town, for the club. I think that you are going to be probably the key difference-maker going forward up there in North Wales."
Reynolds then finished the video by thanking Sinclair for all she has done for the sport of soccer throughout her career.
"What I really wanted to do is thank you," Reynolds said. "I wanted to thank you for inspiring me, my kids, kids all over Canada and the world. Young, old, middle-aged. You're incredible and you deserve all the applause that hands could possibly give. Sending you tons of love."
After she finished watching, Sinclair didn't confirm the "rumour" about her move to Wrexham, but also joked that her talents could had, for the right price of course.
"I mean, for the right amount of money, I could go," Sinclair said to Petrillo with a laugh.
Reynolds and Canadian soccer fans can enjoy Sinclair's final two international matches with a pair of games against Australia in her backyard — on Friday at Starlight Stadium in Langford, B.C., and Dec. 5 in Vancouver.
