Christine Sinclair says she's "pretty darn proud" to be the face of Canadian soccer, but her next thought is of her teammates who have been there along the way during her legendary journey.
"We’ve literally done this all together," Sinclair tells Sportsnet's Arash Madani in a sit-down interview. "I just have happened to score some goals."
A lot of goals, in fact.
As she prepares for her final match with Team Canada, Sinclair reflects on her legacy in the sport from her humble beginnings growing up poor to becoming the most prolific scorer in international women's play.
Sinclair also shares her plans to launch a foundation to help the next generation of young girls achieve their soccer dreams.
