Toronto FC forward Jozy Altidore has undergone successful surgery on his foot after receiving a second opinion on what turned into "a chronic injury," the club announced on Thursday.

As a result, Altidore is expected to miss the next six weeks of action. The 31-year-old has logged just 489 minutes this season due to injury.

TFC also announced that 19-year-old Canadian midfielder Ralph Priso is set for ankle surgery after suffering an injury in the team's 2-1 loss to the New England Revolution on Aug. 14. He's likely to miss the rest of the season.
