Will we ever see the "MSN" trio back on a pitch together again?
According to Neymar, the "N" to Lionel Messi's "M" and Luis Suarez's "S," let's not rule out the possibility just yet.
The Brazilian forward, in an interview shared by CNN Sport on Tuesday, addressed a potential reunion with his former Barcelona FC teammates and said, "Who knows? Football is full of surprises.
"Obviously, playing again with Messi and Suarez would be incredible," Neymar explained. "They are my friends, we still speak to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio."
The 32-year-old is under contract with Al Hilal of the Saudi Pro League until June and although he is "happy at Al Hilal and in Saudi Arabia," Neymar's dwindling playing time has caused speculation over his future with the club.
He suffered an ACL injury while on international duty shortly after his move from Paris Saint-German of the French Ligue 1 to Al Hilal, and has been battling minor ailments since his then.
Neymar was the first to leave Barcelona and split up the MSN trident, heading to PSG in 2017. Suarez then left in 2020 but stayed in Spain's La Liga as he joined Atletico Madrid, while Messi left his longtime club in 2021 to reunite with Neymar in France.
The two spent two seasons together at PSG before the Argentinian forward left for Inter Miami of the MLS in 2023. Messi was then joined by Suarez in 2024; their rekindled partnership led Miami to a Supporters Shield victory and set a record for most regular-season points in MLS history.
Although Neymar is unsure if the trio will someday reunite, he is sure of one thing: Come 2026, it'll be his last time representing Brazil on the World Cup stage.
"I will try, I want to be there," he said of the event set to be hosted by the U.S., Mexico and Canada. "I know this will be my last World Cup, my last shot, my last chance, and I will do everything I can to play in it."
