Canada forward Jonathan David and defender Derek Cornelius were named to the best XI of the 2019 Gold Cup group stage.

David, 19, currently tops the Golden Boot race with five goals. Cornelius, meanwhile, played every single minute of the group stage for Canada at the back.

The Canadian men will take on Haiti in their Gold Cup quarterfinal on Saturday after finishing second in Group A. If Canada advances, it would face the winner between Mexico and Costa Rica in the semifinals.
