Canada’s men’s national soccer team adds game vs. U.S. to schedule

Canada’s men’s soccer team has announced a second international friendly during the September window, with a game against the Americans scheduled for Sept. 7.

The men were already set to play Concacaf rival Mexico on Sept. 10 in Arlington Texas. This additional game against the U.S. will be held at Children’s Mercy Park, in Kansas City, Kansas.

The three co-hosts for the 2026 World Cup, Canada, Mexico and the U.S. will be looking to fill the absence of qualifying matches with friendlies leading up to the event.

All three nations are currently participating in the Copa América, being held in the United States. Canada (0-1-0) plays its second game of the tournament on Tuesday night against Peru in Kansas City, having lost its opener to Argentina, 2-0.
