ANKARA, Turkey — Galatasaray says it has signed Ivory Coast midfielder Emmanuel Eboue from Arsenal on a four-year contract.
Galatasaray says Eboue will be paid C2.5 million ($3.6 million) for the first two years and C2.2 million ($3.2 million) for the following two, in addition to C10,000 ($14,400) per game. The club also says it will pay Arsenal C3.5 million ($5 million) for the transfer.
Galatasaray finished in eighth place last season, its worst result in years.
Fatih Terim, who has returned to coach Galatasaray for the third time, is trying to strengthen the team with major transfers. The club recently signed Czech Republic international Tomas Ujfalusi from Atletico Madrid, as well as Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.
