KHARKIV, Ukraine — Former Catania winger Alejandro Gomez has turned down offers from Inter Milan and Fiorentina to sign for Ukrainian side Metalist Kharkiv.

Gomez also says he rejected Atletico Madrid, adding “Metalist was the most persistent and won the fight for me, so here I am.”
