The expansion of the World Cup from 32 to 48 teams has been the hot topic of discussion ever since last week when FIFA voted on and approved the measure.

Negotiations on how the 16 extra slots will be allocated amongst FIFA’s six confederations will begin next month, but here’s Sportsnet’s look at what a 48-nation World Cup in 2026 might look like:
