LYON, France — France striker Alexandre Lacazette has signed a 2-year contract extension with Lyon that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2017-18 season.
Lacazette, who has been nurtured by the seven-time French champions since he was a 10-year-old, has scored 42 goals in 154 matches with Lyon.
The 23-year-old forward scored 15 goals last season but did not make the World Cup squad. Lacazette, who has three international caps, featured in France’s 1-1 draw against Serbia last week in a friendly after being called up as cover for the injured Olivier Giroud.
