LONDON — Everton striker Romelu Lukaku scored in injury time to earn his side a 1-1 draw at home to West Ham in the FA Cup third round on Tuesday.
West Ham, which is seventh in the Premier League after an impressive campaign so far, made the breakthrough at Goodison Park when defender James Collins rose to meet a corner with a powerful near-post header in the 56th minute.
Everton looked destined for a fifth consecutive defeat until Lukaku latched onto Bryan Oviedo’s cross from the left and smashed the ball home in a crowded area.
The night’s other cup match will also go to a replay after Scunthorpe drew 2-2 with Chesterfield.
