MANCHESTER, England — Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says defender Marcos Rojo will be out for six weeks after dislocating his shoulder in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City last Sunday.
Van Gaal says "he saw a specialist yesterday evening who said the conservative way to heal it is best" and that "it can be less than six weeks. If he needed an operation, 12 weeks."
Rojo’s injury leaves Van Gaal with a lack of central defensive options ahead of the English Premier League match at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday, with Phil Jones, Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling also unavailable.
Striker Radamel Falcao will also miss the game as he has not recovered from a calf problem.
