Luis Carlos Tejada scored in the 21st minute for Panama, knocking the ball in with his chest from six yards out after a cross deflected off Honduras goalkeeper Donis Escober. It stayed that way until the 82nd minute, when Najar’s penalty kick was deflected by goalkeeper Jaime Penedo off the crossbar; Najar got his own rebound and converted.
