ROME — Serbian forward Adem Ljajic is reportedly about to join Roma in a 10 million euro ($13 million) transfer from Fiorentina.
The Gazzetta dello Sport says the two clubs have agreed on the transfer price, which could reach (euro)12 million ($16 million) with bonuses.
All that’s reportedly remaining is for Ljajic to undergo medical tests with Roma before signing a five-year deal worth (euro)2 million ($2.7 million) per season.
The 21-year-old Ljajic joined Fiorentina in January, 2010, and scored 15 goals in 78 Serie A appearances for the Tuscan club. In May, 2012, Ljajic sarcastically applauded manager Delio Rossi for substituting him and Rossi punched him, after which Rossi was fired.
Fiorentina is aiming to sign 19-year-old Croatian forward Ante Rebic from RNK Split as a replacement for Ljajic.
