Roma’s Pjanic out for a month with ankle injury

ROME — Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic will be out for a month because of an ankle injury.

Pjanic went off in the 39th minute of Sunday’s 3-1 win against Genoa and underwent tests on Tuesday.

Roma says Pjanic has a ligament injury in his left ankle and “the prognosis is four weeks, the footballer will start rehabilitation from today.”

Pjanic, who joined from Lyon in 2011, has scored four goals in 20 appearances for Roma this season.

Roma is seventh in the Serie A table.
