Shortly after Portugal’s Confederations Cup semifinals loss to Chile, Cristiano Ronaldo announced that he would not play for his country in the third-place match on Sunday.
“I’m very happy to finally be with my children for the first time,” Ronaldo explained on his Facebook page, revealing that he is now the father of twins.
On Thursday, Ronaldo revealed photos of the twins:

“So happy to be able to hold the two new loves of my life,” he wrote.
Not much is known about Ronaldo’s new children, though a BBC news story notes unconfirmed reports out of Portugal stating they have been named Eva and Mateo.
The 32-year-old Ronaldo already has a son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., who was born in June of 2010.
