Six PSV fans arrested in Madrid for violence

MADRID — Spanish police have arrested six supporters of Dutch football team PSV for destroying public furniture and hurting passersby following their team’s loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Police tell The Associated Press that the six supporters all of Dutch nationality were arrested late Tuesday on a street in the centre of Madrid.

The charges include public disorder, destroying public property, inflicting bodily harm to others, and resisting arrest. The police spokesman spoke under anonymity in accordance with police policy.

Atletico won the round-of-16 second-leg match in a penalty shootout.
