Retired Canadian basketball legend Steve Nash could be returning to professional sports, but it won’t be basketball.

Nash has been training with the New York Cosmos B Team in the NPSL–the fourth-tier of American soccer– and could make his professional debut on Sunday, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

The official NPSL website has also listed Steve Nash on the Cosmos B roster.

Cosmos B is the reserve squad for the New York Cosmos, who play in the second-tier of American and Canadian soccer, the North American Soccer League. The team is currently unbeaten with eight wins and one draw this season.

The 41-year-old Nash, who retired from the NBA after a 19-year career in March, is heavily involved in the soccer community. He’s a co-owner of the Vancouver Whitecaps and has trained with the team on a few occasions.

Nash’s brother, Martin, has also represented the Canadian men’s national team and played professionally for 15 years before retiring in 2010.
