Torino get Nocerino on loan from AC Milan

TURIN, Italy — Torino has signed former Italy midfielder Antonio Nocerino on a season-long loan deal from AC Milan.

Nocerino spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham, making two starts and eight substitute appearances for the English Premier League side.

It had been reported that West Ham wanted to sign Nocerino on a permanent basis, but on Wednesday, Torino announced it secured the 29-year-old midfielder’s services.

Nocerino says, “I want to thank all the people at Milan, all the people who worked with me, and all the Rossoneri fans. At Milan the human aspect really makes the difference.”

Nocerino, who began his career at Juventus, scored 12 goals in 72 league appearances for Milan after he joined from Palermo in 2011.

He made 15 appearances for Italy.
