NYON, Switzerland — UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against CSKA Moscow for the "racist behaviour of their fans" during a Champions League match against Manchester City.

City defender Yaya Toure said he was subjected to racist chanting during his team’s 2-1 win in Moscow on Wednesday.

UEFA says the case will be dealt with by its control and disciplinary body on Oct. 30.

CSKA Moscow says it considers the racism allegations "unfounded."
