LONDON — West Ham has broken the club’s transfer record to sign Ghana forward Andre Ayew from Swansea for 20.5 million pounds ($26.75 million).

West Ham announced the signing of Ayew on Monday, when the Premier League club also brought in left back Arthur Masuaku from Olympiakos on a four-year deal.

The 26-year-old Ayew joined on a three-year deal, with the option of two more years. He played alongside current West Ham star Dimitri Payet at Marseille.
