TORONTO (July 15, 2013) Twenty years have passed since the Toronto Blue Jays won their second of back-to-back World Series titles. Sportsnet relieves the magic of that 1993 storied season with the one-hour documentary Touch ‘Em All, Joe, premiering Wednesday, July 17 at 7 p.m. local time on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific.

Produced by Fadoo Productions, Touch ‘Em All, Joe was directed by Dale Heslip and written by Sportsnet’s Stephen Brunt. Named after the famous words of the late Blue Jays radio broadcaster Tom Cheek – “Touch ’em all Joe, you’ll never hit a bigger home run in your life”-following Joe Carter’s heroic walk-off homerun in Game 6, the documentary begins one day after the 1992 World Series win. Touch ‘Em All, Joe follows the championship organization over the course of one year, as they rebuild, face setbacks, and ultimately make franchise history.

Players, coaches, and notable special guests share their candid memories from the 1993 season; including Joe Carter, Paul Molitor, Jack Morris, Pat Hentgen, manager Cito Gaston as well as former general manager Pat Gillick. Members of the Philadelphia Phillies organization also share their side of the story as they battled the Blue Jays for the pennant, with appearances by manager Jim Fregosi, and players Darren Daulton and Mitch “Wild Thing” Williams.

Encore presentations of Touch ‘Em All, Joe will air throughout the week following the premiere. For more information, please visit sportsnet.ca
