Tennis Canada announced Wednesday it will tour the country with the Davis Cup trophy in celebration of Canada's victory in the 2022 event.
Canada won the Davis Cup for the first time in the competition's 123-year history by defeating Australia in Malaga, Spain, in November.
Canada defeated Germany in the quarterfinal and Italy in the semifinal before Félix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov swept their singles matches against Australia to clinch the title.
The trophy will make stops in all 10 Canadian provinces, including at the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers in Vancouver on April 14-15, and the National Bank Open in both Toronto and Montreal in August.
Canada, which has automatically qualified for the 2023 Davis Cup finals, will begin its title defence starting with the group stage in September, followed by the knockout stage in November should Canada advance.
