Eugenie Bouchard advanced to the third round of the Family Circle Cup in Charleston, S.C. Tuesday, defeating qualifier Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia 6-2, 6-0.

After receiving a bye in the first round, the sixth-seeded Bouchard needed just 58 minutes to close out the match, serving two aces and converting seven of nine break points.

The Canadian will play the winner of Chanelle Scheepers and Venus Williams in the next round.
