MONTREAL — B.C. Lions quarterback Travis Lulay has been knocked out of action for the second week in a row.

Lulay was tackled by Montreal Alouettes defensive end John Bowman on his team’s opening drive in the first quarter of Friday’s game in Montreal and headed to the locker-room with what appeared to be a left arm/shoulder injury.

He didn’t return for the second half.

The 34-year-old also left last week’s 26-14 home win over Ottawa in the second quarter after taking a hit from Redblacks defensive lineman J.R. Tavai.

Lulay was put into concussion protocol and sat the rest of the night, although he told media post-game he could have returned in the fourth quarter if needed.

He practised this week with the starting offence ahead of the matchup with the Als.

Jonathon Jennings took over from Lulay and connected with Bryan Burnham for a 16-yard touchdown on his first play from scrimmage against Montreal.

Lulay stayed on the sideline to watch the play unfold before finally going to the dressing room.
