Welcome to the Pro Sports Meltdown Hall of Fame, Viktor Troicki.
In his second-round match against Ernests Gulbis at the Italian Open on Wednesday, Troicki chewed out the chair umpire after his baseline shot was wrongfully ruled out of bounds.
Upset with the call, Troicki and the umpire walked to the opposite baseline to examine the mark left by the ball in the clay court. After seeing the evidence backed up his argument, Troicki went full-out McEnroe on the chair umpire, shouting “You know you’re wrong! Come on, you know you’re wrong!…
“From space you can see it’s in!”
To no avail, Troicki then hijacked a camera and dragged a cameraman to get a close-up shot of the evidence for all to see.
Despite Troicki’s brilliant performance the call stood and the charismatic Serb wound up losing the match 6-1, 6-1.
