GUANGZHOU, China — Viktorija Golubic advanced to the quarterfinals at the Guangzhou Open by beating top-seeded Sara Errani 6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-4 Wednesday.

The 23-year-old Swiss will next face Anett Kontaveit of Estonia, who beat Zhu Lin of China 6-1, 3-6, 6-0.

Defending champion Jelena Jankovic, third-seeded Ana Konjuh, fifth-seeded Alison Riske, Jennifer Brady, Lesia Tsurenko and 2013 Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki also advanced.
