UFC superstar Conor McGregor is investing in an up-and-coming combat sport.
McGregor announced on Saturday night that he was becoming a minority owner in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships through his company, McGregor Sports and Entertainment.
The announcement was made at BKFC KnuckleMania 4 in Los Angeles.
“Look, you’ve got the biggest guy in all of combat sports right now as a part owner of our company,” BKFC president David Feldman said during the BKFC KnuckleMania 4 broadcast, according to MMA Fighting.com. “I think it’s just going to move the needle tremendously. We’re going to do a lot of big things. We’re going to open up a lot of new markets."
BKFC launched its bare-knuckle boxing promotion in 2018.
McGregor will return to the UFC ring at UFC 303 in June in a welterweight bout against Michael Chandler at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
