It appears the Drake betting curse is over thanks to Jon "Bones" Jones.
The Canadian singer wagered $450,000 on Jones to knock out Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 309 on Saturday.
Drake earned a $954,000 payout after Jones successfully defended the heavyweight title. Jones connected with a spinning back kick to Miocic's midsection and added a few punches to his head to win via TKO in the third round.
Saturday's payday will help Drake recoup after losing $355,000 on a bet that Mike Tyson would defeat Jake Paul. The 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer beat the 58-year-old Tyson via unanimous decision after eight rounds Friday.
The Drake betting curse began earlier this year when he wagered $500,000 on the Edmonton Oilers to win the Stanley Cup Final and an equal amount on the Dallas Mavericks to win the NBA Finals.
Neither team captured their respective championship, with the Oilers falling in seven games to the Florida Panthers and the Mavericks losing in five to the Boston Celtics.
He also placed a $300,000 bet on Canada beating Argentina in the Copa America semifinals. Canada lost 2-0.
Drake partnered with betting site Stake for a reported $100,000 per year deal in 2022.
