A featherweight bout between Josh Emmett and Lerone Murphy will serve as the main event for UFC Fight Night on April 5, UFC announced Monday.
The event will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Emmett has not fought in the Octagon since his win over Bryce Mitchell at UFC 296 in December 2023. At the time, the fight served as a Knockout of the Year candidate and provided a bounce back for him after suffering back-to-back losses against current featherweight champ Ilia Topuria and former No. 1 contender Yair Rodriguez.
The 39-year-old is 2-2 in his last four appearances and is the eighth-ranked fighter at 145 pounds.
Murphy is the 11th-ranked fighter in the division and is unbeaten in 16 outings with just a split draw against Zubaira Tukhugov on his record. The 33-year-old has is 7-0-1 in the UFC and has a 15-0-1 record as a professional.
