Manel Kape and Matheus Nicolau will renew acquaintances later this year, this time over five rounds instead of three.
The talented flyweights will reportedly headline a UFC Fight Night event that is expected to take place April 27 at the UFC APEX.
Kape and Nicolau were scheduled to face each other in January at the first event of 2024 but the fight was called off a day before the event after Kape missed weight.
The rebooking was first reported by Alex Behunin of MMA Mania.
Nicolau, 31, won a split decision over Kape when they met three years ago. He had a six-fight winning streak snapped when he was knocked out by Brandon Royval in April 2023.
Kape, 30, has won four fights in a row since his loss to Nicolau and making the flyweight limit is never a guarantee with him as was the case earlier this year.
