Top-10 lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot’s next fight will be against an unranked opponent.
Gamrot, the No. 7-ranked fighter in the UFC's 155-pound division, will face Ludovit Klein at an upcoming May 31 Fight Night event in Las Vegas. The organization announced the matchup Thursday.
Klein, 30, is riding an unbeaten streak dating back more than three years. The Slovakian is 6-0-1 in his past seven and that includes a 2023 decision win over Ignacio Bahaomndes and one over Roosevelt Roberts in September in his most recent outing.
Gamrot hasn’t fought since dropping a three-round split decision to Dan Hooker at UFC 305 in August but has held onto a top-10 spot in the rankings.
The 34-year-old from Poland holds notable UFC wins over current No. 1-ranked contender Arman Tsarukyan, Rafael Fiziev, and former champion Rafael dos Anjos.
The May 31 event is set to take place at the UFC Apex facility and is headlined by a women’s flyweight contest between Erin Blanchfield and Maycee Barber.
