A scheduled lightweight matchup between Jared Gordon and newcomer Mashrabjon Ruzibaev was cancelled Friday just moments after Gordon successfully made weight.
Saturday’s UFC Fight Night event is headlined by Jared Cannonier and Gregory Rodrigues, both of whom successfully made the middleweight limit on their first attempt.

Ruzibaev had accepted his matchup with Gordon on short notice but did not weigh-in and an official reason for the bout being called off was not immediately announced. Gordon was originally slated to face Kaue Fernandes, who was removed from the card earlier in the week due to visa issues.
Gordon, 36, has been snake bitten in recent years apart from a TKO win over Mark Madsen at UFC 295 in 2023. He suffered a controversial decision loss to Paddy Pimblett in 2022 then had a no-contest with Bobby Green when Green accidentally headbutted him, and Gordon is coming off a narrow split decision loss to Nasrat Haqparastwith in his lone fight last year.
All other fighters scheduled to compete Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas made weight. The card will proceed with 12 fights.
