The first three bouts have been officially added to the upcoming UFC 312 event in Australia.
The organization announced Rei Tsuruya vs. Stewart Nicoll, Quillan Salkilld vs. Anshul Jubli, and Jimmy Crute vs. Marcin Prachnio will take place Feb. 9 at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
Japan’s Tsuruya is an excellent flyweight prospect who’ll look to improve to 11-0 as a pro when he faces Brisbane's Nicoll.
Perth’s Salkilld, who earned a UFC contract in September thanks to a victory on Dana White’s Contender Series, takes on fellow 7-1 pro Jubli.
Melbourne’s Crute will be looking to snap his four-fight winless streak when he faces Poland’s Prachnio who’s 4-6 in the UFC.
This pay-per-view event is the second of four events in partnership with the province of New South Wales. Most recently, UFC 305 in August took place in Perth, Australia with Dricus du Plessis defeating Israel Adesanya by submission to defend his middleweight title. UFC 293: Adesanya vs. Strickland in 2023 was the last event the UFC has hosted in Sydney. Since 2010, Australia has hosted 18 UFC events.
