Belal Muhammad vs. Shavkat Rakhmonov will headline UFC 310 in Las Vegas

Dana White announced Saturday that welterweight champion Belal Muhammad will put his title on the line against Shavkat Rakhmonov in the main event of UFC 310.

The event is scheduled to take place Dec. 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will feature a co-main event between men’s flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja and UFC newcomer Kai Asakura.

Muhammad, 36, became the organization’s 170-pound champion in July when he defeated Leon Edwards by unanimous decision at UFC 304 in England.

Rakhmonov is 18-0 in mixed martial arts with 18 finishes. The 29-year-old Kazakh is 6-0 in the UFC coming off a submission win over Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson 10 months ago.

White also announced a welterweight matchup between Nick Diaz and Vicente Luque has been rescheduled for the event. they were initially supposed to meet in August.

A heavyweight fight between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov was also moved to this event after being rescheduled.

An anticipated featherweight fight between Aljamain Sterling and Movsar Evloev, plus a light heavyweight bout between Anthony Smith and Dominick Reyes are expected to take place at the event.
