Jack Jenkins challenges Gavin Tucker to Edmonton bout after UFC 305 win

Jack Jenkins is trying to make the UFC matchmakers’ jobs as easy as possible.

The featherweight made a common sense suggestion for his post-fight callout after his third-round technical knockout victory over Herbert Burns at UFC 305.

Jenkins is from Australia but informed the home crowd that he used to live in Edmonton and that he wants to compete in the upcoming Fight Night event scheduled for Nov. 2 in the Alberta city.

The 31-year-old was originally scheduled to fight Canadian Gavin Tucker at UFC 305 but Tucker withdrew with an injury. Jenkins suggested the UFC rebook that matchup for Rogers Place later this year.

Jenkins is 3-1 in the UFC with his lone loss being due to an injury he sustained during a fight with Chepe Mariscal 11 months ago. Jenkins left Burns unable to stand up after battering him with body punches and low leg kicks on the UFC 305 preliminary card.

Tucker, who fights out of Halifax, is 4-3 in the UFC coming off consecutive first-round losses to Diego Lopes and Dan Ige.
