Jacob Markstrom is fitting right in with his new team.

The veteran goalie and his family have touched down in New Jersey and the Devils have shared photos of their first tour of the Prudential Center and other team facilities.

Among the photos is a smiling Markstrom wearing the Devils’ comically large hat that was given to team MVPs after wins last season.

Markstrom, 34, was traded to the Devils by the Flames in June for defenceman Kevin Bahl and a 2025 first-round pick. He had to waive his no-move clause to approve the trade but with the Flames seemingly entering a rebuild, the opportunity in New Jersey was too good to pass up.

“It’s a big team with high expectations and as a goaltender, there’s pressure, and I’ve been on teams where there was pressure on goaltending in the Canadian market,” Markstrom said earlier this summer. “I know what’s expected of me and people who know me know that I just want to win hockey games.”
