Team USA has added nine players to its roster for the upcoming IIHF men's world championship, while deleting one.
Mikey Eyssimont of the recently eliminated Tampa Bay Lightning leads a group of five forwards, three defenceman, and one goalie added to the squad Sunday. The tournament runs May 10-26 in Ostrava and Prague, Czechia.
These players are in addition to the first 15 who were revealed on Wednesday.
Detroit Red Wings centre Dylan Larkin was removed from the team due to injury.

• Ryan Leonard, F, Boston College
• Brock Nelson, F, New York Islanders
• Will Smith, F, Boston College
• Matthew Kessel, D, St. Louis Blues
• Michael Kesselring, D, Arizona Coyotes
• Jeff Petry, D, Detroit Red Wings
• Trey Augustine, G, Michigan State University
The team will train in Bratislava, Slovakia, before playing a pre-tournament game against Slovakia on May 7. They will open the tournament against Sweden on May 10 in Ostrava, Czechia.
Over the last 10 tournaments, the United States has finished in the top four seven times winning four bronze medals.
