Lynden Lakovic scored twice in regulation time and then scored the only goal of the shootout as the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors edged the Brandon Wheat Kings 5-4 in Western Hockey League action on Tuesday at Westoba Place.
Rilen Kovacevic had a goal and three assists for the Warriors (8-19-3-1), while Aiden Ziprick netted a single.
Marcus Nguyen, Giorgos Pantelas, Caleb Hadland and Luke Shipley scored for the Wheat Kings (15-9-3-2), who outshot the visitors 43-29. Nicholas Johnson chipped in with two assists for the Wheaties.
The Warriors led 1-0 after the first period and the teams were tied 4-4 heading into the third.
The Warriors went 1-for-3 on the power play while the Wheat Kings were 1-for-2.

EDMONTON, Alta. — Niall Crocker scored twice on the power play and Krzysztof Macias added a goal and three assists as the visiting Prince Albert Raiders defeated the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-2.
Brayden Dube and Lukas Dragicevic also scored for the Raiders (15-10-3-0), who were outshot 34-33. Tomas Mrsic chipped in with two assists.
Gavin Hodnett and Marshall Finnie scored for the Oil Kings (16-13-1-1), who trailed 1-0 after the first period but the teams were tied 2-2 heading into the third.
BRONCOS 5 REBELS 4
RED DEER, Alta. — Parker Rondeau scored the game-winning goal at 15:50 of the second period as the visiting Swift Current Broncos edged the Red Deer Rebels 5-4.
Clarke Caswell, Jaxen Gauchier, Luke Mistelbacher and Connor Gabriel also scored for the Broncos (17-13-0-1), who outshot the hosts 35-33.
Kalan Lind scored twice for the Rebels (15-14-1-2), while Beckett Hamilton and Trae Wilke netted singles.
COUGARS 5 ROCKETS 3
KELOWNA, B.C. — Viliam Kmec scored twice and added two assists as the visiting Prince George Cougars clipped the Kelowna Rockets 5-3.
Matteo Danis, Carson Carels and Terik Parascak (empty-netter) also scored for the B.C. Division-leading Cougars (18-9-3-2), who outshot the Rockets 34-20.
Andrew Cristall scored twice and added an assist for the Rockets (13-14-2-1), while Brett Calhoon had a single.
The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period and 3-3 after 40 minutes.
WINTERHAWKS 6 CHIEFS 4
PORTLAND, Ore. — Alex Weiermair's second goal of the game, scored on the power play at 14:13 of the third period, snapped a 4-4 tie and lifted the Portland Winterhawks to a 6-4 win over the visiting Spokane Chiefs.
Kyle Chyzowski also scored twice for the Winterhawks (18-12-2-0), while Tyson Yaremko had a goal and three assists. Diego Buttazzoni also scored for the hosts, who outshot the Chiefs 47-30.
Rasmus Ekstrom scored three goals for the Chiefs (22-11-0-0), while Shea Van Olm had a goal and two assists.
