WHL Roundup: Tigers’ McKenna, Silvertips’ DuPont shine

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Gavin McKenna had two goals as the Medicine Hat Tigers doubled the Calgary Hitmen 4-2 in Western Hockey League action on Wednesday.

Bryce Pickford and Hunter St. Martin had the other goals for Medicine Hat.

SASKATOON — Ben Riche scored a goal and added an assist to lead Saskatoon over Seattle.

David Lewandowski, Zach Olsen, Tanner Molendyk and Tyler Parr also tallied for Saskatoon.

SILVERTIPS 6 WILD 1

EVERETT, Wash. — Carter Bear scored twice as the Silvertips defeated the Wild.

Caine Wilke also had a pair while Tyler MacKenzie and Jesse Heslop chipped in with singles for Everett.

First-year exceptional player Landon DuPont had three assists for Everett.

KELOWNA, B.C. — Braydon Boehm scored the shootout winner to give the Royals a 4-3 win over the Rockets. 

He also assisted on Cole Reschny’s game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation.
