Jets sign winger Jeffrey Viel to one-year, $775K deal

The Winnipeg Jets signed forward Jeffrey Viel to a one-year, $775,000 deal, the team announced Saturday.

Viel, 26, went undrafted before signing a free agent contract with the San Jose Sharks on May 28, 2019.

The Rimouski, Que. native has played in 49 career NHL games, all with the Sharks. He has three goals and two assists in those 49 contests.
